Sweet Events By Q was started in 2002, as Simply Homemade, by Elizabeth Rivera. Elizabeth had a love and a passion for cooking since the age of 10. After attending and graduating from Johnson & Wales University, she worked as personal chef, planning and catering events for some of Charlotte, NC high society. With these experiences, she realized this was something that she was really good at, and wanted to take it a step further by starting her own company.
After few years of success, business in Charlotte started to slow down and she was forced to close her doors and relocated to Charleston, SC. With the large amount of health conscious individuals in Charleston, she decided to take the company in a new direction, adding catering, baking and custom meals.
Simply Homemade, and soon Sweet Events By Q, took off like a rocket in the Lowcountry! With so many new customers ordering our treats and signing up for our heathy meals, we had to change our motto to Certified Delicious.
